The Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) is the professional body for town planners - including the officers who are employed by councils to make plans, deal with planning proposals and enforce development control.
The RTPI provides services to members and works to promote and uphold the standards of the planning profession. It produces policy and research on planning; lobbies government and other organisations; and organises training and education to members and the wider public.
Planning Aid
Planning Aid is a voluntary service provided by professional planners and organised by the RTPI. Through it. community groups nad individuals can get free, professional and independent advice on planning issues. Its Planning Aid Direct service provides online help and there is special guidance on neighbourhood planning.

The RTPI provides services to members and to the general public including the pro bono Planning Aid servcie which is offereed by professional planners to help individuals and communities who want advice and informationon planning issues. |
